Adventures in Utah: Scenic Route 12

'The gladdest moment in human life, me thinks, is a departure into unknown lands.'-Sir Richard Burton When I was talking to my brother about my trip, he said that I had to take this road he had heard about that was supposedly the most beautiful road in the United States. A quick google search led …

Adventures in Utah: Bryce Canyon National Park

'Nature is the art of God.' – Dante Alighieri After my morning at Cedar Breaks National Monument, I headed to Bryce Canyon National Park, my second 'Mighty Five.' Actually, I picked up SR-12 which starts just before Bryce but all of that will be in my next post (and trust me when I say there is …

Adventures in Utah: Cedar Breaks National Monument

'The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hand of man.'-Unknown Much like my decision to visit Great Basin National Park, I stumbled upon Cedar Breaks National Monument by looking at a map and seeing what was cool! Cedar Breaks is about 40 minutes from Zion and just a slight …

Adventures in Utah: Zion National Park

'No matter the risks we take, we always consider the end to be too soon, even though in life, more than anything else, quality should be more important than quantity.'–Alex Honnold Zion National Park was the first stop of my quest to visit the Mighty 5 and, boy, did it not disappoint! A few things …

Continuing with National Parks Week, a shot fo Cathedral Rock at one of my favorite parks, Capital Reef! Make sure you take SR-12 from @brycecanyonnps_gov to get there! All about SR-12 and Capital Reef in bio.
To continue our celebration of National Parks week, I bring you Bryce Canyon! The scope and diversity of hoodoos and erosion on the canyon walls is unreal. That wind did this...Mother Nature is something else! More on my time at Bryce in bio.
If you’re visiting Zion (and you should), be sure to make the trek to Kolob Canyon. While the main part of Zion is one of the most visited parks, this Canyon is often missed. More about Zion on the blog, link in bio.
It’s National Parks Week! Did you know that Great Basin National Park is one of the least visited parks!?! If you’re road tripping the southwest, it’s worth the slight detour (one my way from Bend to Zion via the Nevada route) perfect spot to walk around and have deer join my hike. Link in bio about the park!
It’s the start of National Parks Week! This week I’ll be sharing some favorite photos from my trip last year (6 parks in 8 days) but I’d remiss to not share one of my favorite parks with the bluest water I’ve ever seen! Cannot wait to go back with my brother next month!!
Quite the show from my living room the other night...forever grateful for this view!
‘It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men’s hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.’-R.L. Stevenson
Bend from above...
‘[Kintsugi is] the art of fixing broken things with lacquer dusted with powdered gold to treat repair as part of the history, rather than disguising the breakage. The brokenness becomes part of the story and the beauty of the piece.’-Jenny Lawson
Just maybe...
I was talking to my cousin about future travel and I’m ready for a long haul flight. This is still one of my favorite shots/places and I remember this day so vividly. Life is an adventure and you never know where it will lead!
A year and a half in Bend...time flies in the mountains!
