“That’s the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet.” – Jhumpa Lahiri I have spoken of my love of reading and my deep love of Harry Potter so I'm going to share some favorite books and some I have recently read. December 20, 2018July 11, 2019 / Kelly / 3 Comments

'Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean it is not real?'-Dumbledore (J.K. Rowling) In addition to discussing my global adventures, I also want to talk about my other great love...BOOKS! So honored to be an executive board member of @juniorleagueofodessa and kick off the holiday spirit with them with our annual Merry Marketplace! How lucky am I to be surrounded by the most incredible women, who inspire me daily, and I get to call my dearest friends. It’s time!!!!!!! @juniorleagueofodessa annual Merry Marketplace opens its doors to the public Friday afternoon… @discoverodessa tradition to officially kick off the holiday season! Woke up to a bluebird sky in more ways than one. I cannot express the true joy, shock, tears shed, and hope after last night. It’s a great day to live in Texas, with many more to come. Congratulations @jamestalarico and @ginafortexas 🎉🎉🎉 We did it!!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow is Election Day! While I have my favorites, I just want you to vote! Especially those who live in @discoverodessa, where our voter turnout is horrible. Texas a whole ranks last in voting! So find your polling place and do the most important thing you can do as a citizen of this country! If I wait for other people, I never would have done it. However, it didn’t happen overnight but I would have missed so many things if I wait for the right guy or friends or even my own comfort level. Days are better with a Gus! Happy Halloween from Woody! I still cannot believe Gus kept this one, especially the hat to take photos. @campbowwowpetroplex are miracle workers! Just a Kels who grew up obsessed with the Oregon Trail and finally able to see Devil’s Tower! All in the blog.
