'If you want to keep your memories, you first have to live them.'-Bob Dylan I have never been much of a resolutions kind of person. As a kid, I loved New Years. My parents would throw a party, my friends and I would be upstairs listening to Mariah Carey, at 9 we would watch the … Continue reading A Year in Review: ‘You Have to Live Them’

December 26, 2018February 7, 2019 / Kelly / Leave a comment

For this holiday season, I returned to Greenville, SC to spend it with my dad and brother. I road tripped with my dad and it was a lot of fun. We spent most of the time discussing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and who/who was not enshrined. This was all brought to us … Continue reading Adventures in Greenville: ‘Warm Circle of Family’

'Of course it is happening inside your head, Harry, but why on earth should that mean it is not real?'-Dumbledore (J.K. Rowling) In addition to discussing my global adventures, I also want to talk about my other great love...BOOKS! Where in the span of my life I have ridden a prairie train with Laura Ingalls, visited … Continue reading ‘The Boy Who Saved Me’

‘Who I’ve Grown To Be’

December 15, 2018January 11, 2019 / Kelly / 2 Comments

As we are headed on this journey, you should probably know a bit about me. Travel is in my blood. My parents have both traveled the globe...in fact they met on a plane and reconnected via the busiest airport in the world. Due to my dad's job, I was born in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and … Continue reading ‘Who I’ve Grown To Be’

‘Furiously Happy’

December 14, 2018January 31, 2019 / Kelly / 3 Comments

'Furiously Happy' is my philosophy in life. Jenny Lawson's first book, Let's Pretend This Never Happened, is one of my all time favorite books! It's hilarious and relatable. When she released her second book, Furiously Happy, complete with Rory the (taxidermy) Raccoon on the cover, I had no idea it would change my life. She suffers from severe … Continue reading ‘Furiously Happy’

There are very few things I will wake up for at the crack of dawn to see but a desert sunrise is near the top of the list.
Nothing like a road trip across the American Southwest to provide a bit of clarity and gratitude. And my first with the new Rav4 Hybrid…I can go a long way!
This past week has been truly incredible and good for my soul. Now, where to next…
