Adventures in New York: Saturdays on Broadway

May 21, 2019June 2, 2022 / Kelly / 2 Comments

This is going to be a long post, so thank you to all of those who stay to the end! To say I love seeing live theatre is an understatement. I have always loved a show and have seen many a touring production, but there is something about seeing a show on Broadway (or the … Continue reading Adventures in New York: Saturdays on Broadway

Adventures in New York: Fifth Avenue-Midtown

May 9, 2019May 9, 2019 / Kelly / Leave a comment

As you may have noticed, I spend a lot of time in Midtown Manhattan. One of the places that I visit the most is the area around Rockefeller Center. The reason is simply, it is close to the Theatre District, there are lots of food options, and it's a great place to kill time! Around … Continue reading Adventures in New York: Fifth Avenue-Midtown

Adventures in New York: Metropolitan Museum of Art

April 12, 2019April 12, 2019 / Kelly / Leave a comment

One of the most famous museums in the world, the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Met) lives up to the hype. It is one of my favorite museums anywhere in the world. Easily accessed via Central Park (it is near the Guggenheim), you can see mummies to Picassos and everything in between. You can spend … Continue reading Adventures in New York: Metropolitan Museum of Art

Adventures in New York: Greenwich Village

April 4, 2019April 4, 2019 / Kelly / 1 Comment

While I am not there often, my favorite neighborhood in New York City is Greenwich Village. I really love the Upper West Side but Bob Dylan got his start in the Village and if you have read any of my posts it will be of no surprise that this association is the tie breaker. I … Continue reading Adventures in New York: Greenwich Village

Adventures in New York: Times Square

March 30, 2019March 30, 2019 / Kelly / 2 Comments

So I have written a lot about what I love about New York (and plenty more to come) and you might get to wondering that New York City must be the most perfect place because she seems to love it all. Well, I am here to shatter that reality, I am very sorry to say … Continue reading Adventures in New York: Times Square

Adventures in New York: The 9/11 Memorial and Museum

March 21, 2019March 23, 2019 / Kelly / Leave a comment

New York is one of the greatest cities in the world. People come from everywhere to see the sights and sounds, maybe eat a hot dog or two. One of the poignant places to be is the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. I first visited New York in high school. It was May 2001 and I … Continue reading Adventures in New York: The 9/11 Memorial and Museum

Adventures in New York: The Guggenheim

March 15, 2019March 23, 2019 / Kelly / 1 Comment

New York has so many wonderful museums, both big and small. One of the most famous is the Guggenheim. It is located on the Upper East Side at 88th Street and 5th Avenue (right across from Central Park). While the museum is known for their collection of modern art, what it is mostly recognized for … Continue reading Adventures in New York: The Guggenheim

Adventures in New York: Central Park

March 8, 2019March 23, 2019 / Kelly / Leave a comment

Other than Broadway, my most favorite place to be in New York is Central Park. I particularly love it in the fall and late winter. The air is crisp and the trees give way to the skyscrapers that surround this little oasis. As noted, my favorite thing to do is grab a Pret sandwich, a … Continue reading Adventures in New York: Central Park

Adventures in New York: The Central Park Zoo

March 3, 2019March 23, 2019 / Kelly / 1 Comment

This should come as zero surprise to anyone who has read this blog, but I love to wander. Like, it is my favorite thing to do in any city. No matter how many times you go to a city, you always stumble upon something new. On my last visit to NYC, that was the Central … Continue reading Adventures in New York: The Central Park Zoo
