Adventures in Iceland: Whale Watching

January 31, 2019February 7, 2019 / Kelly / 3 Comments

For someone who is always cold, I always manage to find things to do that will make me colder. Deciding to go whale watching in Iceland in January would be one of those things. The irony is, the more fun you have the less you seem to notice you've lost feeling in your fingers. I … Continue reading Adventures in Iceland: Whale Watching

Adventures in Iceland: Golden Circle Tour

January 28, 2019February 7, 2019 / Kelly / Leave a comment

When I decided to visit Iceland, I immediately knew that I wanted to see the Northern Lights. Thus, the Golden Circle and Northern Lights Package was the obvious choice. My hunt for the Northern Lights will be forthcoming, so I'm just going to focus on the Golden Circle, one of the most popular tours to … Continue reading Adventures in Iceland: Golden Circle Tour

Adventures in Iceland: The Blue Lagoon

January 25, 2019February 7, 2019 / Kelly

One of the most famous sites to visit in Iceland is the Blue Lagoon. Once again, my journey there was booked from Icelandair. Ideally I would have gone the last day of my trip, to relax before leaving, but I ended up visiting day two. I highly recommend bringing as little as possible, getting lots … Continue reading Adventures in Iceland: The Blue Lagoon

Adventures in Iceland: The Lava Tunnel

January 18, 2019February 7, 2019 / Kelly / 3 Comments

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by volcanos. Maybe it was growing up in the 'Ring of Fire' (although there were no volcanos in Lake Arrowhead, CA) or that Dante's Peak really made impression on me. Whatever it was, I have been hooked. So going to the Land of Fire and Ice, … Continue reading Adventures in Iceland: The Lava Tunnel

Adventures in Iceland: Packing for Winter in Iceland

January 15, 2019February 7, 2019 / Kelly / Leave a comment

When I told people I was going to Iceland in January, most thought I was nuts. The immediate response was almost always, "But it will be so cold!" If anyone has seen the '90s movie, D2: The Mighty Ducks, you will know that Iceland is green and Greenland is made out of ice. While that is not … Continue reading Adventures in Iceland: Packing for Winter in Iceland

Adventures in Iceland: Planning for Iceland

January 10, 2019February 7, 2019 / Kelly / 3 Comments

When I decided to live 'Furiously Happy,' I chose to stay in my small apartment in the suburbs of Philadelphia instead of moving to the city as I planned. The reason was simple, I wanted to travel the world. I have been fortunate to travel the globe, but had not gone on a holiday of … Continue reading Adventures in Iceland: Planning for Iceland

A whirlwind of weekends, first New Orleans (first time) and then Austin. Glad to be home but excited for road trip adventures that await!
I’ve fallen way behind on sharing my travels but slowly starting to catch up…a sneak peak at my upcoming post.
One year ago, I accepted the job that brought me to Odessa. Who knew the stability I had needed would be in West Texas 😂 I’ve loved all of it. Cheers to another year of joy and Texas sunsets!

Adventure awaits…first summer where I didn’t have to waitress and I AM READY!!!!
One year ago, I had my first interview for the job that would change my life. So grateful for all the opportunities that have come my way. And I promise, more travel blog posts are coming…I’ve been incredibly busy and have some personal things I’m dealing with (will share once clarity).
In talking about Lewis and Clark today in class, shared my love of Cape Disappointment so sharing with you one of my favorite photos!
Was reminiscing with friends about life in the PNW and I do miss views like this one…
I’ve had a massive couple days on the website and am so grateful! Thank you to all those who have been here since the beginning and those who have found me along the way ♥️
